Before You Start
If you do not already have a DGCA PMR or Medical File Number, follow the aspirant pilot path and select No where the portal asks about PMR. Existing pilots should use valid PMR details.
Step-by-step guide
Follow this sequence to understand the aspirant pilot registration journey before using eGCA for DGCA services.
Start from the official DGCA/eGCA login page and read the user manual or portal instructions before registration. Avoid unofficial shortcuts because eGCA is used for DGCA services and aviation records.
Choose the Sign Up option and select the Pilot user type. This guide is focused on aspirant pilot registration, which is the usual starting path for student pilots creating an eGCA ID.
For an aspirant pilot without a DGCA Pilot Medical Record or Medical File Number, select No when the portal asks about PMR. Existing pilots should use valid PMR details and follow the existing-pilot validation path.
The eGCA pilot registration manual lists basic aspirant-pilot prerequisites: age of at least 16 years, active email, active mobile number, one identity proof, one address proof and 10th mark sheet.
Fill personal information exactly as it appears in your records. Name, date of birth, parent or guardian details, nationality, blood group and address details should be checked before submission.
Upload one clear identity proof accepted by the eGCA registration process. Use a readable scan and ensure the name and date details support the information entered in the form.
Upload one accepted address proof. The eGCA manual lists common proofs such as telephone bill, electricity bill, water bill, Aadhaar card, passport, election photo ID, gas connection proof, rent agreement and bank photo passbook.
Upload photo and signature only in the dimensions, DPI, file type and size currently shown on eGCA. Create a password as per portal policy, usually including minimum length, capital letter, number, allowed special character and no spaces.
Validate the email ID and mobile number using OTP. The portal may ask for captcha before OTP and before final submission, so keep both contact points accessible while completing registration.
Review all entries, accept the declaration and submit the registration form. For aspirant pilots, the eGCA ID is generated after successful registration submission and validation steps shown by the portal.
Document preparation
Keep one accepted identity proof and one accepted address proof ready. The live portal should always be treated as the final authority for current upload requirements.
